About Us:
The History Ahmic Lake Resort was built in the early 1930’s and originally operated as Ahmic Lake Lodge as a part of a Lumber Mill on the same site. Some ruins and artefacts, of the old mill are still visible to this day. In the late 1940’s the Lodge building has been added with 5 Guestrooms and a Dining Room. In 1969 the first campsites were built and in 1979 with new owners the name changed to Ahmic Lake Resort, this is when they also decided to shut down the Lodge with the Rooms and Restaurant for good because f the safety of the building. In 1985 the current cottages have been built completely new from ground up and a addition to the mail building with Residence and Office / Store for the Guests as well as several new campsites. |
About Us In 2000 the current owners purchased the Resort and ever since, the Resort is being upgraded to modern standards. Most cottages have been completely renovated and upgraded to 4 star standards. The Original Lodge building has been rebuilt and reopened with the very successful “Swiss Country House Restaurant”. The Main Building also contains a brand new Meeting Room, Camp Store And Reception as well as a fantastic Lounge for your “nights out” for a drink or socializing. The whole Park Area received and continuous to receive facelifts, there are new docking facilities, boardwalk, a small petting zoo, and lots of Flower Gardens to add to the whole picturesque setting of the Resort. The Resort is located right on Ahmic Lake at “Old Mill Bay” with it’s own Dam in a very scenic Area of the Parry Sound District. |
