The History

Learn more about Ahmic Lake Resort

Our history dates back to the 1930s when Ahmic Lake Lodge was founded as part of a Lumber Mill - believe it or not. You can even see remnants of the old mill today!

Eventually, the mill fell out of use, but the resort continued to grow and update. In the 1940s, the lodge building was added with a dining room and five guestrooms. It wasn't until a few decades later that the first campsites were established.

The current name Ahmic Lake Resort was adopted in 1979. The whole site underwent a major overhaul as the current cottages were built from scratch along with the store and main office. We’re proud of our history but even more excited to see where the future will take us and our guests.
